Situated above the ticket sales office is the VIP section, while in the rest of the building there are many facilities, including a pub, restaurant, hotel and a hockey store. The entire building has WiFi connectivity.
The construction of the rink began in 1969, and by November 1972, the building structure was completed. The arena has been subject to a number of reconstruction projects during the 1970s and 1980s, with the roof being redone and the stands were rebuilt in 1984. In 1994 the clubhouse, complete with the bar ‘U Zlomené brusle’ was finished. Lighting, sound and roofing improvements were made in 1995, while in 2000, new boards and a new scoreboard were fitted inside the arena. Another roof repair in 2005 was followed by a replacement of the ice plant in 2007. In 2010, the wooden seats in the arena were replaced with plastic ones. This along with the other improvements made in the facilities led to Břeclav being one of the hosts of the 2012 IIHF Under 18 World Championships, along with Brno.
